Principles Governing This Site

The Worldwide Advertising Sales Department of the New England Journal of Medicine maintains this website and related online services according to the following principles:

  • We take active steps to ensure your privacy. We do not release, sell, or rent individual information about your use of the NEJM CareerCenter site, including your email address, to any third party. The NEJM CareerCenter does not rent out its subscriber mailing list.
  • CVs and cover letters stored on our site are never shared or forwarded by anyone but you.
  • Contact information in the physician profiles is completely confidential; profiles are displayed anonymously. You also have the option to block your profile so that it is not available to prospective employers.
  • Any email sent to you from this site will include instructions on how to "unsubscribe" and stop receiving such email. It is possible to receive email/direct mail from us inadvertently if, for example, your name is on an email/direct mail list rented to us by another organization.
  • We may report general activity trends about our website to third parties, which may include advertisers.
  • We do track general physician usage patterns on this site; however, we do not match this to your personally identifiable information.
  • We use industry-standard data-encryption technology when we transfer and receive personal information on our site. We also maintain appropriate security measures in our physical facilities to protect against loss, misuse, or alteration of information.

Information We Request from You

We will request information from you in the following situations: You ask to be notified by email about job opportunities by creating Early Job Alert search agents. You choose to register/create an anonymous physician profile for employers to search.

About the use of "Cookies"

"Cookies" are bits of information stored on your computer that help identify you when you visit the NEJM CareerCenter website. At the CareerCenter, your cookie information is temporary, so as soon as you leave our site, it too is gone.

How to Stop Receiving Offer Information from Us

You can choose at any time to stop receiving offer information from us about content or services:

Physicians: Send an email with your email address in the body of the message to: customerservice@jobcontrolcenter.com. Call our Customer Service Department at 888-491-8833, Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm EST.

Employers: Call 1-800-NEJM-991 (1-800-635-6991) Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm, EST, to speak with a recruitment advertising representative who can remove your account from our system. It is possible to receive email/direct mail from us inadvertently if, for example, your name is on an email/direct mail list rented to us by another organization. We apologize in advance for this.

How to Update Your Information

Physicians Log into your account and click on the My Account tab. From there you may choose to edit your profile or edit your Early Job Alert. Employers Call 1-800-NEJM-991 (1-800-635-6991) to speak to a recruitment advertising representative
